Since everybody is in a light mood due to the festivities going around, i thought of posting some interesting perspectives of different kinds of people. So here i go:


A Pessimist:

The Moments that make Life

These r some my thoughts about the little things in life which make me the person that i am.

1. Falling in 'love' ~ The best thing that can happen to anyone! And I am glad that it happened to me.

2. Laughing so hard that your face hurts ~ Rare moments when u cry out of joy makes life so much lighter.

3. A hot shower ~ Very relaxing.

4. A special glance ~ From my loved one makes me feel cherished and loved.

5. A drive on a pretty road ~ Absolutely serene and blissful.

6. Hearing your favorite song on the radio ~ Takes me to another world coz i just love music!

7. Lying on the bed and listening to the rain outside ~ Makes me feel like cuddling up.

8. The beach ~ Love it absolutely!Would love to go there anytime!!

9. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all ~ Brings out the child in me.

10. Having someone tell you that you're beautiful ~ Makes me feel even more beautiful from inside.

11. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you ~ Makes me happy and realise that these are the ppl who matter.

12. Waking up and realizing that you still have a few hours left to sleep ~ Brings only one thing to my mind "Go back to sleep!"

13. Making eye contact with a cute stranger ~ Brings out the flirtatious side of me.

14. Holding hands with someone you care ~ Makes me feel nice and secure.

15. Watching the sunrise ~ I have done that on very rare occasions, but trust me it feels divine!

I Want to Go Back In Time When....

Decisions were made by doing eeny-meeny-miney-mo.

Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, Do Over!

Race issue meant arguing about who ran the fastest.

Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in Monopoly.

Catching the fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening.

It wasn't odd to have two or three best friends.

Being old, referred to anyone over 20.

The net on a tennis court was the perfect height to play volleyball and rules didn't matter.

Having a weapon in school, meant being caught with a slingshot.

Nobody was prettier than Mom.

Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better.

It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the big people rides at the amusement park.

No shopping trip was complete, unless a new toy was brought home.

Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was a cause for giggles.

The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team.

War was a card game.

Water balloons were the ultimate weapon.

Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable aspirin.

Ice cream was considered a basic food group.


Just reminiscing my childhood days.....Alas kids of today hav a different tale to tell!!

Lost Cause

Note: This post may seem silly to some, but please don't mock my emotions if u can't acknowledge or understand it.

This post is not about things that i wanted to do or about things that i regret not having done. Its about something that's very close to my heart. Life has been going on as usual and everything is the same except for one thing....I miss something that used to make me happy instantly....something or rather someone who used to make my worries disappear within seconds. No, I am not talking about my bf here, neither am i dating somebody else! I am talking about Shingi, a cute little dog who left our building few weeks back. :( And to think of it i wasn't even aware of it till recently my mom told me that her family had moved out of our building. I couldn't believe it...or should i say that i didn't want to believe it coz i had taken it for granted that she would always stay in this building. (At least as long as i was there)


Let me take you back to the time when i had seen her for the first time. Now don't laugh at me coz i am not talking about an ordinary dog here. She is a 2yr old Bigel, white and brown in color. She is the cutest and the most well behaved dog that i have come across till date. And what made here unique was the fact that she would never bark nor was she over friendly....She maintained her distance from you and would only come to you if she was comfortable in your company and if she felt that you liked her. I met her around 1 yr back, and back then i wasn't too fond of pets. But i could never resist her, she was so cute that i would always end up cuddling and stroking her. Soon she developed a liking for me but she would never show it directly. There was something striking about her, she was very obedient and she would never misbehave even when she was left in the open. She was pampered like anything and her owners treated her like their own child. I was not the only one who loved to see her taking her regular walks every evening, my mom and my sis-in-law were also very fond of her.


It really sad that i can never see her again, coz it is impossible for me to find out the whereabouts of her family in a vast city like Mumbai. What remains with me are her fond memories and the pics that i had clicked sometime back. I miss her a lot and i still imagine her taking walks in the evening....and i cuddling and stroking her like i always used to. She was the best pet one could have and i know life will never be the same again.....Miss u Shingy!! :( I never realized that i could love pets so much. I now plan to have a Bigel as a pet after i move into my own house post-marriage.

My Obsessions

I have been tagged by Cess to list down the 5 things that i am addicted to. Sounds interesting, but when i sat down to think about it...i ended up really confused coz if i talk about being addicted, i m addicted to many things. But mebbe i can scan them and put up the top five here. So here i go:

1. I am addicted to music. I dunno what would i do without music. It soothes away all my worries and takes me to a different level of relaxation.



2. I am addicted to love. I feel the more love u get, the better. I feel lucky to hav ppl like my parents, my bf and my friends who love me so much. And i still feel the need to be loved more :)

3. I am totally addicted to my cell phone. I m so addicted to it that u will never find me without my mobile phone. (except when i am having a bath)



4. I am addicted to blogging. I feel incomplete if i don't check my blog at least once a day. And now that i have got so many lovely friends here its impossible for me to stay away from my blog for too long.

5. I am addicted to lead a happy and contended life. I know it sounds strange bcoz everybody says that they are happy. But what i mean by this is that i always seem to be at peace with myself and i don't believe in running in the mad rat race. I know everybody wants more money, more comfort and more material possessions but that doesn't mean that u stop living ur life. I believe in living in the moment and to be content with whatever i have.

And with this i come to the end of this tag. I feel its a very subjective one coz addictions may change from time to time so one can always come up with this tag and talk about their top 5 current addictions. :P What say ppl!? So tell me what did u do this weekend?

Soul Searching on a Sunday

Throughout centuries, story tellers, and people from different backgrounds and cultures have always referred to their fascination with meeting their soul mate some day. Is soul mate a myth? Do they really exist? Or is soul mate a figment of our own imagination that helps us to keep our hope for a perfect relationship alive. Or is it an escape for not handling or not looking at ourselves in such a way that we keep delaying our responsibilities and that things can be fixed once we meet our soul mate. So how do we define a soul mate? Most of us define soul mate as a life partner we're in love with, someone with whom we're connected spiritually and sexually. However i tried to find the dictionary meaning of soul mate and here's what i got "One of two persons compatible with each other in disposition, point of view, or sensitivity and someone for whom you have a deep affinity."

Now, there are lots of people you share common interests with. You like the same music and hobbies, you hold similar jobs, you have the same sense of humor. Does that mean all these ppl are your soul mates? Perhaps no, a soul mate has all these attributes but represents a deeper, more spiritual connection. According to Greek mythology, our ancestors originally had two heads and four arms until they angered the gods and were split into two, condemning humans to a lifelong search for their soul mates. Maybe that's why so many of us are looking for someone to make us feel complete. So does destiny play a role in finding soul mates? I believe so. Some people say that everything happens for a reason, that things are preordained and that there is no such thing as coincidence. Others believe that we are all reincarnated and that our strongest spiritual connections are with people we've known in previous lives. It's often said that opposites attract, but true soul mates seem to think alike, share the same interests and have common values.

I don't intend to confuse any body by writing all this. What i want to ask through this post is:

1. Do you believe in soul mates? And if you do then what's your definition of a soul mate.
2. How do you know that this is the one for me?
3. Do u think that there can be more than one soul mates?

Lights, Camera....Action!

Hi ppl! I was busy the last 2 days.....had a tough time balancing office and gym. I think i would surely qualify for a marathon someday coz i run everyday to office, back from office to home and then to the gym. And then i run in the gym as well, i.e. on the treadmill! :P Anyways, tomorrow is a holiday and it comes as a welcome change as compared to the plain vanilla weekdays. So i will be doing a lot of things like working out, reading "Unaccustomed Earth" by Jhumpa Lahiri, spending time with my parents and relaxing. Lemme know what my other friends in India are planning to do.

Chupke Chupke for sure for its funny moments....Dharmendra and Amitabh were jus too good!
