Drifting Through Life

I sometimes find I'm drifting
Through this life without effect;
I often wonder if I'm truly
Worth what I've been blessed with.

I search through days that have been hard,
To try to understand,
The many trials that I have known,
The life that I have had.

You see me in my daily grind,
So confident and strong;
Yet when I am alone, I question
Just where I belong.

I often try too hard I find,
To analyze and guess,
To scrutinize, investigate
My life I will confess.

For somewhere deeper, there must be
Some meaning to this life,
Some way to make a difference,
Give a reason for this strife.

Is there some hidden meaning?
Some agenda to be found?
A greater purpose waiting
If I care to hang around?

It teases and it taunts me,
Always slightly out of sight;
A hazy vision out of reach,
Where darkness hides the light.

I struggle to bring clarity
To what awaits me there,
And yet this weak illusion
Always fades before my stare.

It seems the harder that I try,
To focus through the haze,
Just serves to add more questions,
Through my endless, tired gaze.

Perhaps I'm trying just too hard,
To understand it all,
For can we ever truly know
Just what we have in store?

Each incident, each moment passed,
Just adds upon the next,
But in the end, will I find truth ...
Or will I be perplexed?

Perhaps I make it harder
Than it has to be sometimes,
But will my searching bring to me
My meaning over time?

Or will it leave me broken,
And confused as I feel now,
While questions bring no solitude,
To this, my wrinkled brow.

Just explains my state of mind so aptly.....anyways have a gr8 weekend all of you and hope none of u are in this state of mind.

Some Classic Definitions

Some really cool definitions, which i had got on mail. Go through them and tell me ur favorites. :)

23. Pessimist : A person who says that O is the last letter in ZERO, Instead of the first letter in word OPPORTUNITY.

B'day Special

Yes, this is the special post that i was talking about. My blog turns 1 yr today, so i thought of remembering all those people who made it possible for me to reach this stage. :) Some who are still there in the blogville and others who left this space. I want to take this opportunity to thank all those people who made me feel special by encouraging me to write more. A special mention of Mez, sweetie i miss u a lot.....She was the first person who commented on my blog and i can never forget her, even though she's no longer there in blogville. I would also like to remember some more people who left the blogville and are missed dearly; Ashu, Samby, Solitaire (Sneha) are few such people. And now for the special people who make my journey in the blogville worthwhile, here is a small poem from me to all you guys out there:

Loose Control

Yeah that's exactly what i wanna do this weekend. :) No i am not going to try bungee jumping or anything of that sorts! It's just that i am gonna let myself loose this weekend coz this is going to be one long weekend. Monday being Republic Day is gonna be an off for me from both work and gym. Yep i have been going to the gym religiously without missing a single day. The only day that i get an off is Sunday. I can surely feel the inches melting away. Feels so good to be back to my curvy self like i used to be earlier. (not really there, but almost)


But this time its gonna be two days.....Yipeee!!! Anyways, this is also the first time that i don't have any plans for the weekend. The reason being my bf is still not back from his vacation, so i am not planning to do anything on Saturday i.e. tomorrow. As far as Sunday is concerned i might just meet up a batchmate of mine who did his MBA with me. :) Looking forward to that one! And the best day is gonna be Monday....not bcoz its a holiday, its bcoz my guy is coming back from Singapore. So lots of action expected on Monday, i am expecting a few gifts which he has got for me, i am also looking forward to the lunch that we'll have (yes it's gonna b special coz its after a long time) and last but not the least i am going to watch Slumdog Millionaire. Hope it turns out to be good. So that's my update on this weekend. Also there's a special post coming up on Sunday coz its a special day!! I worked as a call centre executive. And i still owe my global English and the initial money that i got to this job. :)

Although i was always fascinated with space and wanted to become an astronaut, my real passion has always been singing. Give me any song and i will start humming. Would love to become a singer any day, but India doesn't provide any scope for upcoming singers. And plz dont tell me about the reality shows, just have a look around what are all the reality show winners doing!?



15. Bad Habit you have:
Yes, i can be very pessimistic at times, especially when i am pissed!! Its like when i am upset pessimism and sarcasm make a deadly combo and if anyone gets to c my wrong side then he's dead!

Of being surrounded by insects. I hate, hate, hate insects of any size and shape.

I would love to have Beach House b4 i die.

Lonely Heart

Its just been a day and i am already missing him..... :( :(

I am angry, irritated and sick!! (in the literal sense) I know its a very wrong way of starting a post, but i just can't help it. Everything has been going wrong from the past few days. To start with, i caught cold (for the umpteen number of time) on last Saturday. I know there's nothing gr8 abt it, but what i thought to be a common cold turned out to be a viral infection which transformed into something far more serious leading to coughing, stuffy nose and finally fever. So, i ended taking leave from work on Tuesday and Thursday. Yeah i made an unsuccessful attempt to work on Wednesday, which obviously made things all the more worse. The net result being, i have not been able to sleep all these days coz i keep coughing throughout the night. I have missed 3 days of work out, coz my stamina has gone for a toss! And to top it all, i haven't been able to access the internet coz something seems to be terribly wrong with the tata indicom broadband service....and i still have no idea when will it start working. Blogger has been blocked at work again!! So, here i am trying to surf the internet through dial-up connection which is pathetic (extra slow speed). But i guess something is better than nothing. My weekend is screwed anyways coz i can't go out, have to take rest at home. I don't even have my guy here to rant coz he's off to Singapore with his family for a vacation. :( I hope all of u have a gr8 weekend unlike me.

Bored & Silly!

I am just too bored to write anything these days, don't feel like writing movie reviews (haven't seen any gr8 movies either) saw Australia and Ghajini.....din't like either of them. Australia was too slow where as Ghajini had too much of violence and a strong flavor of South India, can't blame Mr. Murugadoss. Anyways, apart from that i have no idea what will i do for the 2 weekends to come.......reason being my guy is going on a family vacation (read his parents and younger brother) to Singapore. :( I dunno how will i stay without him. Please suggest any ideas for this poor soul!! Work is going on as usual, and i m suddenly feeling very dull ever since my bro an sis-in-law left (they were here from Amsterdam for Christmas and New Year). So all in all i m gonna b silly n stupid for i dunno how long......so in case i post crap, please excuse me. For the time being i have something silly that i got on mail.
