Taste of Love

Like a movie scene, in the sweetest dreams,
I had pictured us together.
Now to feel your lips on my fingertips,
I have to say is even better.

Then i ever thought it could possibly be,
It's perfect, it's passion, it's setting me free.
From all of my sadness, the tears that i've cried,
I have spent all of my life....

Waiting for tonight,
when you'll be here in my arms,
Waiting for tonight,
I've dreamed of this night for so long,
Waiting for tonight....

Tender words you say, take my breath away,
Love me now and leave me never.
Found a sacred place, lost in your embrace,
I want to stay in this forever....

I think of the days when the sun used to set,
On my empty heart, all alone in my bed.
Tossing and turning emotions were strong,
I knew i had to hold on....

Waiting for tonight,
when you'll be here in my arms,
Waiting for tonight,
I've dreamed of this night for so long,
Waiting for tonight....

For all those who are aware and for those who are not, my love will be reaching India tonight and i just can't tell you how eager and excited i am to see him!! Its been 7 long months since i last saw him....and tonight is the day i have been waiting for from the past 2 weeks, ever since he told me that he's coming to India. :) He's gonna be here for 10 days which is umm....not too long but who cares, all i know is that he will be here, right in front of me!

Sorry for sounding like a teenager....may be i am too excited to sound like someone who's been in a relationship from the past 8 and a half years! But hey isn't this what keeps the spark alive? People who have been in love from a long time would agree with me, i am sure. So this is me signing off for now coz i don't know what else to write. *giggles* I just want to get out of the office as soon as possible, can't be more distracted than this!! *wink wink*

Know where you are going....

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village.

A tourist complimented the local fishermen on the quality of their fish and asked how long it took them to catch the fish.

Not very long. they answered in unison.

Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?

The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families.

But what do you do with the rest of your time?

We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take siestas with our wives. In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. We have a full life.

The tourist interrupted, I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat.

And after that?

With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.

You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City!

From there you can direct your new enterprise.

How long would that take?

Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years. replied the tourist.

And after that?

Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting, answered the tourist, laughing. When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!

Millions? Really? And after that? asked the fishermen.

After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying with your friends.

Thats what I am doing now replied a fisherman.

Moral of the story is: Know where you're going in life....you may be already there!!

250 ? Not Out

I am really happy to say that this is my 250th post. And what makes me happy is the fact that i could last for so long in blogville.....people came and people left but i remained! Well, i am sure it wasn't easy for the people who left this space coz some of them were really close and special to me. I still miss them, and i know that they know this too!

But here i am, and i can say for once that i am here to stay, and that's all that matters right now. I love to express myself and since i am such an extrovert there couldn't have been a better way to express myself than this blog. This blog is and will always remain close to my heart....coz i know if there's anything i need to talk about, anything that's bothering me, this is the place to be.

Ok, now i don't want this to sound like an award winning speech but i would like to make a special mention of all the wonderful people who i met through this blog and some of them went on to become good friends of mine. I owe it to all of you, i love you and thanks a ton for being there!! You mean a lot to me.

Well, it's a lazy Monday morning...and no i am not cribbing about it as yet! ;) So hoping that the day goes well i am ending this post of mine with some meaningful ads:

For Times to Come....

Dear Sweetheart,

Our life together will be worth waiting for. Time is our only obstacle and like all things, this too will pass; Perhaps slowly, but nonetheless, the day will come when we will have the beautiful life that we've planned for.

And then we'll say that it was surely worth the wait!!

Yours Forever,

P.S. Have a wonderful & loving weekend!! XOXO

To Be 6 Again!

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching his wife, who was looking at herself in the mirror.

Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her birthday. 'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her birthday, he woke up early, made her a nice big bowl of Coco pops. He then took her to Six Flags theme park.

He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Roller Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Then they were off to a movie with popcorn, soda pop, and her favourite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally, she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted.

He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being six again?'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.

'I meant my dress size, you retard!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong!

Kab Jaayega Bey!?

Since today was a holiday here due to "Gudi Padwa" (the Maharashtrian New Year), i decided to go for a movie with my parents. The best bet out of all the movies running in the theatres was "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?". So off we went to PVR Cinemas to watch the situational comedy which coincidentally has also been compared to the yesteryear comedies made by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

To start with, its been long since i saw a genuinely good and funny movie....i am totally done with the brainless comedies like Golmaal, All the Best etc! Trust me guys i just don't get such movies, they are just so dumb.....for me comedy is what we got to see in movies like "Hera Pheri" which is one of my all time favourites, or say "Chupke Chupke", the classic comedy starring Dharmendra & Amitabh Bachchan.

Anyways, coming back to this movie....its a short 2 hr movie without too many songs/naach gaana. Its about a guest (Paresh Rawal) who comes to stay at Ajay Devgan & Konkona's place and refuses to leave. Since the plot revolves around these 3 central characters, it saves us from all the confusion which is the usual thing in today's comedy movies with an unusually huge ensemble cast. Its a clean movie which is not just pure comedy but also has a social message to it.

All said and done i think this movie belongs to Paresh Rawal and he has proved it once again that he is a pure genius!! He is one person who can play any character with ease.....one can clearly identify with the pain that Ajay & Konkona go through while taking care of their guest. I know there cannot be anything extra ordinary in a comedy film but this movie get's a 3/5 from me coz its simple, short & sweet. Worth a watch i'd say! And have a gr8 week ahead!! :)

"May I Hebb Your Attention Pliss"

I got tagged after a long time, and this is an interesting one i must say! Thanks a lot for tagging me SMM. So here are the rules for the tag:

1. On your blog, provide a link to the Great Bongs page, May I Hebb Your Attention Pliss. Embedding the above picture in your blog would be nice but not needed.
The May I Hebb Your Attention Pliss contest

2. Then write down your top 10 Hindi movie lines or top 10 English movie lines (You can do both if you want. Only one set is required for the contest). If you cannot think of top 10, make it top 5. Cannot think of even 5? Make it top 3. No problem. Only restriction: no two lines from same movie. This is done to make it fair for other movies so that they dont get swamped.

3. Tag five friends to do the same.

4. Come over to the comment-space of this post and post your blogs link so I can go and read it.

Remember: Before starting the tag, paste points 1 and 4 on your blog so that the rules are available to anyone who wishes to pick the tag up from your blog.

Here are my top 10 hindi film dialogues:

1. Kitne aadmi the. - said by Gabbar in the all time classic film, Sholay.

2. Rishte main toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai...Shahenshah - said by Amitabh Bachchan in the film, Shahenshah.

3. Main tumhare bachhe ki maa banne wali hoon..... Has been used time and again in various films. Is not used much these days though. :P

4. Kanoon ke haath bahut lambe hote hain Again this has been used time and again in various films. Only if this was true in reality!

5. Bade bade deshon main aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain - said by Shahrukh Khan in the blockbuster film, DDLJ.

6. Yeh Dhai kilo ka haath jab kisi pe padta hai, to woh aadmi uthta nahin uth jaata hai. - said by an angry Sunny Paji in the film, Damini.

7. Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai - said by Amitabh Bachchan & Sharukh Khan in the two versions of the film, Don.

8. Zindagi me paife kamaane ke do tareeke hote hain, fortcut aur doofra chhota fortcut - said by the cute turned hot Shahid Kapoor in the film, Kaminey.

9. Bol Aal Izz Well said by the perfectionist Aamir Khan in the film that made us think, 3 Idiots.

10. Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. - This one's my favorite, said by Shahrukh Khan in the film Om Shanti Om.

I am not tagging anyone in particular. Whoever is a movie buff like me can take this up! :) And don't forget to let me know in case u take it up.

How Corrupt Are We?

Found this article on yahoo and felt like sharing it. Doesn't make me feel any good or proud for that matter, its sad to see where we stand. The reason as to why the earthquake in Haiti was so devastating has also been given:

Do let me know your views on what you just read. Also, the 33% reservation for women bill has finally been passed by the Rajya Sabha. What are your views on it?

Work Life Balance

Is this how you feel about work!? At least i do at the moment. I know i shouldn't be saying this considering the fact that i have resumed work only this Tuesday after a 2 week long vacation!!

But then nothing excites me at the moment, i know work cannot be exciting each and every day....but the least one can expect is some appreciation for the work you do, day in and day out slogging your a** off for 8-9 hrs a day, sometimes even more! But forget about that....one can't even expect a fair appraisal these days.

People who do half the amount of work get promoted and the more deserving ones have to justify as to why should they get promoted?? No wonder there's no sense of excitement in me even though i know that i may be getting the appraisal letter any moment....coz i am not expecting anything!!

P.S: I am done with watching MNIK last weekend....dint like it that much despite being an SRK fan! I so want to watch KCK only for Farhan 'hot' Akhtar, even though the reviews aint that gr8....but the point is who do i go with!? Especially since the reviews haven't come out that well. Lets c who will become the bakra. :D

Love the Feeling

Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love,
because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall.

If love is the answer, can you please repeat the question?

Love makes life so confusing, but without love would you really want to live?

Love cures people: both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.

Love is like a river, always changing, but always finding you again somewhere down the road.

It doesn't take a reason to love someone,
but it does to like someone.
You don't love someone because you want to,
you love someone because you are destined to.
It's because you fall in love with them,
that you then try to find a reason,
but you always come up with the answer, No reason!
