I have developed an obsession with Polaroid Camera. I've just bought one and waiting for it to arrive! I can't wait to try it out! It's such a shame that they don't make the camera's anymore and that the films is hard to get! Why wouldn't anyone want an instant image with no editing? Everything is so photoshopped these days in magazines etc. it's nice to have a pure image with no changes made to it! What do you guys think of the polaroid camera? Do you think they should bring it back?

Blue Valentine

One of the Films I'm most exited to see this year is Blue Valentine, which stars Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling. I'm not exactly sure what the film is about, I think it's about the marriage of two people but it looks really good! Watch the trailer below.

When Ryan gosling sings in the trailer he has a Maccabees style voice so for today's Friday Song, It's going to be a Maccabees song.

High Voltage

I love Kat Von D. I have a huge interest in tattoos but weirdly I don't have one (I just don't have the guts) For those who dont know, Kat is a tattoo artist and one of the best artists in the world. She's known for her life-like black and grey portraits and has achieved a hell of a lot for her age! (she's only 28) She's the star of LA ink which shows her running her tattoo shop in Los Angeles. I'm not usually a fan of heavily tattooed women, but Kat jut completely gets away with it! I think they look beautiful on her. Her shop is called High Voltage so I thought it would be an appropriate blog post name! Then I remember it is friday so time for a friday song. I couldn't resist on picking a song that goes with the name! It's a few years old and I love it! Such a feel good song! I am going back to University tomorrow and I can't wait! It's been nice to be at home for Christmas but I'm ready to back now to routine and doing some work! Bring it on!

New Year

Everyone seems to get exited on new year, a chance for a new start. New year is always over rated, the same as summer. People put too much emphasis how a new year is a new start. A new start can happen on any day of the year. Anyway instead of being scrooge (does scrooge still count for ruining new years?) I'll predict something for 2011. My prediction is the face of 2011 will be Florrie Arnold.  She is an english singer/songwriter/drummer and is the face of Nina Ricci's Perfume. Alexa Chung has been the IT girl for the last few years and nearly every girl dresses like her so it's time for a change. Florrie is gorgeous and I think she will be a recognised style icon in 2011.

As a final friday song of 2010, I have chosen my favourite song of the year. I have a hard time on picking my favourite as every song/film/album 'is my favourite ever!' so I've chosen a band that I am so glad i went to go see live and buy their album. They will always be in my music collection. I think this is my favourite song by them...but I'm sure it will change by next week!

Winter Wonderland

After a catastrophic day in the snow today I finally made it home for christmas! Feels so good to be home surrounded by all the decorations, family, warmth and food!!! Any university student will know how nice it is to have food on demand! The snow was so beautiful today and to 'celebrate' that here's a beautiful photo shoot taken by Tim Walker. The shoot is so magical so I thought it was appropriate for today!

For today's Friday Song something a little upbeat. I can't stop listening to this song I've gone a little obsessed! I promise something a little Christmassy next week!

New Kid On The Block

I predict little twelve year old Elle Fanning (younger sister of Dakota Fanning) to be everywhere in 2011! I can't believe she's twelve, she's so chic!

For today's song I've chosen something a little upbeat as I'm so relieved I got my presentation out of the way today. But I've still got a lot of work to do so this song will motivate me!

Marina, I ♥ you

Marina Diamandis, from the band Marina and the Diamonds, is one of my favourite modern icons. I love her music, her style and from tv appearances and interviews her personality is wicked too. She was the first person I blogged about, hopefully my blogging style has evolved from then! Marina was used for Vogue's November edition of "Today I'm Wearing" which is on their website. Each month they have a different star who shows what they wear each day. I've featured some of my favourite shots of the month she did. I love her fun and quirky style, she wears bright colours which looks really good against her milky white skin and black hair. Have a look here.

It was only appropriate for me to feature a Marina and the Diamonds song as this week's Friday Song. So I've chosen my personal favourite "Hollywood" I love the video, so american!
