I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that adding hdmi to the box is more or less a marketing ploy rather than a necessity.
This is what alot of people believe but try and find a 1080p HDTV in the UK that can display 1080p from a source other than HDMI. All the major brands of HDTVs I looked at will only display a 1080p from HDMI although you can use component to display 1080i. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a 1080p set though.

If there's any advantage to paper books, it's that you can take it places anywhere and don't need a computer. I had a job where I took books with me and would read when it was slow.
This is not much of an advantage, esp with iPads and other readers.
All my reading right now is eBooks! Easier to have several books open to cross-reference stuff too.

Newb question - what do I do with the wallpapers I download? Do I need to put them in a particular folder? Can I create a "wallpaper" folder in my documents or images folder?
Right now I have a few from last night just sitting in my docs folder, but when I started the MBP this morning it went back to the default wallpaper (purplish space shot)...?

i spilled vine in mine and took everything apart and dipped in alcohol 95% or more(motherboard and keyboard and fan) and cleaned it with a toothbrush ,let it dry and put it back, is been 4 months now and everything works fine.

doesnt justify the fact that I did multiple other tests throughout the day and realized the temperatures were wrong. Ive had 2 overheating issues after 20 minutes of play and found my temperatures reading at 102-105 degrees celcius before shutting down. Only having the game and windows open doing my tests.
I've even tried using a friends laptop cooler but that doesn't really do much either
If you think you have a problem take it to the Apple Store and possibly get another MBP. Why would you want to lose your warranty?????

PS2, not PSP... and wouldnt a mini PS2 have the same size cds so that all the games that have been released to date are compatible. Although, with my experience, burnt media will usually not play in playstations, burnt cds are simply a no go, and burnt dvds are a toss up.

but, no. i do know that psp's will have a small disc form-factor. all i've really heard about it is that and that even so, they will hold more than a PS2 disc.

Try to connect an external monitor and see if it also displays the same. If it is then it is GPU, if it is not then it could be the LVDS connector or the LVDS cable.

EDIT: If you choose .htaccess files, do _not_ use 744 or 755. You want these to be 644, maximum.
Would you care to elaborate on this, and its security implications?
Also, if you modify your httpd.conf file (which *is* the best method, but rarely available in shared hosting environments), don't forget to restart Apache ;)

I have a hid device , because its class is 0x03. I use HIDManager and IOServiceMatching(kIOHIDDeviceKey), both can't find device, whether the kernel don't have matching driver, and I must write a hid device driver?

Yeah - I must have done something stupid - I really can't think how I did it though. I am usually really careful and have been doing this job for over 15 years - but maybe the long hours are taking their toll.
Thanks for the help - me having a panic attack doesn't get the job finished. I guess I'll just have to try to work out what went wrong and make sure it doesn't happen again.
On that note - can you guys recommend a good backup system (seperate from my hard drive)? It needs to be BIG - my current job folder is 16gb - lots of photoshop files etc. And I need to be able to back up/replace after each major change or at the end of the day.

A lot of the times if you don't properly drive a high impedance can, a lot of its sound won't be as tight and crisp as it should, so it's not just the volume output. I remember the first time I heard a high quality tube amp on a HD650 in a store, it was the first time it made a song I really know and like have a bass that sounded like an actual kick drum rather than a soft boom boom noise, I was pretty amazed.Yup, I was really surprised when I started using a headphone amp for the first time. Its a powerful difference.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Have you plugged your hd650's into a mbp? How did it sound?

Thanks for your advice and suggestions. I think I will go ahead with a bluetooth mouse and definitely save my money on RAM, and also stick with a simple stand rather than a fan powerd cooler. Thanks again.

Mac CPUs will throttle due to thermal issues just below the level where they will automatically shut down to prevent damage, which is around 100C/212F or 105C/221F, depending on which processor you have.
