Touch Down

Here i am back to reality.....not too glad to be back coz i had quite forgotten the life here when i was at Coorg and Ooty. Life was so much more peaceful and calm out there, no fear of being killed in a firing, no fear of being killed in a bomb blast.....I dunno if these places will always remain safe, but they seem to be so at least as of now. I had a great time relaxing and de-stressing, away from the grim life that awaited me at Mumbai. The first few days we were at Coorg (Karnataka), which is famous for its coffee plantations and dreamy weather. Just a few kms from the main city, there's a Tibetian Monastery which is said to be the 2nd largest Monastery in Asia. We went there and i couldn't stop myself from capturing the beautiful monastery on my mobile. Here are a few pics that i took at Coorg.

Ring a Bell

Enter The Dragon

The Golden Temple also known as Namdroling Temple

Lord Buddha Amongst Others

Lady in Red

We also saw Coffee plantations and spice plantations, not to forget we also tried the Coorgie Cuisine which was very hot and spicy. From Coorg we proceeded to Ooty which is another hill station in Tamil Nadu. Even though people had told us that it will be cold at Ooty, we didn't really believe it until we reached there. The min temperature at Ooty was 10 degrees centrigrade. The journey to Ooty was very scenic and i managed to click some really nice pics on my way.....Check them out:

Eucalyptus Forest

Sunlit Pathway

Tea Estates

Although i preferred staying indoors due to the cold weather, we did manage to go to a few places at Ooty like this Botanical Garden, which was huge. We had one whole hour to ourselves and still we couldn't see the whole Garden. This is an interesting pic that dad took from the digicam.

Go Green

And this is how my vacation came to an end! :( With a heavy heart i came back to Mumbai yesterday afternoon. There was a lot of work to do....the worst one being unpacking. Now there's a truckload of clothes waiting to be washed in the washing machine. I went to office today and needless to say there was a lot of work to do. My inbox was full of mails, 550 to be precise! I had a tough time reading them and deleting the unnecessary ones. I had bought some spices for my boss and chocolates for others. I also bought a lot of oils like Saffron Almond Oil and Eucalyptus Oil, which were very reasonably priced.

Anyways, life is back to usual now, i plan to see "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" this weekend. And i also want to visit the Taj Hotel and Leopold Cafe which witnessed the terror attacks last week. I want to end on a happy note, so here is a pic i took from a mountain peak and i feel it has turned out really well.

And another pic which i took on my way from Conoor to Ooty is this station which is famous for its interesting name.
