An early morning episode with an irritating colleague has lead me to write this post. No no, this is not going to be a post where i will be ranting or venting out my anger. I am just going to write down a list of things that put me off! So here it is:

1. People who think others are dumb, and behave as if they are the only smart one around. Its strange that they do not realise that they are the dumbest of the lot!

2. People who brag about their possessions or how much they work and how great they are, makes me pity them coz i believe that one should let their actions do the talking.

3. People who are superficial/shallow and vain irk me to no end! The sad part is that they don't even realise this, talk about "Ignorance is Bliss".

4. People who say something and do something else, the ones who believe that what applies to others doesn't apply to them are such hypocrites! I hate people with double standards.

5. People who lie, i know sometimes it becomes necessary to lie in order to save a situation, but then there are these set of people who perpetually lie about everything! Now that's a bit too much to tolerate.

6. People who talk in fake accents and behave as if they were never born or raised here. Why can't we embrace who we are? I don't feel the need to talk or behave like someone who i am not! I am proud of who i am & where i belong to.

7. People who are too selfish/self-centered and just can't think anything beyond themselves. They don't realise that if you don't think about others then tomorrow nobody will think for you.

8. I know some people who are so jealous of others that they totally forget to appreciate what they have in life. I really feel sorry for them coz they waste their whole life in being jealous and dissatisfied.

9. People who are disorganized/clumsy and always manage to make a mess of themselves and things around them totally turn me off. I don't think i need to say any more on this.

10. People who are evil and who will go to any extent to let someone down or harm somebody are the ones i absolutely detest. Makes me wonder, don't they have better things to do in life!

A Not So Random Post

Ok time for a tag now, its been a while since i took up a tag which asked me to talk about myself! :) I know, i know, most of u know me already but this one's for Harshita who really wants to know what will i write about myself. :D So ready to spill some more beans, here i go:

1. I am not a very brand conscious person. I can pick up anything from any where as far as i don't have to compromise on quality. I mean seriously I don't get the deal of spending a bomb on something like a watch or say a perfume!? Why would i waste a lakh of rupees on just a watch?? Imagine the amount of shopping that i can do with that kinda money!
   

2. I prefer guys as friends more than girls, not bcoz of the obvious attraction factor! More so bcoz i feel that they are less bitchy and messy. No offense meant to all my lovely gfs who i truly cherish. But i really can't bitch all day about clothes, jewellery, make-up & guys! I need something more than that to be friends with someone.
   

3. Now, since i am friendly & approachable a lot many times guys have ended up misunderstanding me! Why is it so difficult for a man & a woman to be just friends!? The moment i feel i have a gr8 friendship with this guy, he spoils it all by saying that he's got feelings for me! And this despite me having told them that I'm happily committed!! Does that mean that i shouldn't make friends with guys coz I'm committed!? Now that's weird!
   

4. I am very sensitive!! A little too much than required....i get deeply affected when i see people around me suffering due to a fatal disease or any calamity. A few years down the line i plan to set up my own NGO or at least work for one, coz that's what i feel is my true calling & that will satisfy my urge to reach out to people.
   

5. I hate to see people being discriminated for their caste, sexual preference or color for that matter! I mean why can't people just let them be, i believe in & follow the saying "Live and Let Live". How i wish more people practiced this in their lives! Trust me guys this is more than just a saying.
   

6. I get bored very easily, like right now i am bored of this job and the life that i am leading. Nothing to excite me, i want to go to a new place and have a brand new life. I like to change my bags, shoes & accessories every single day! And no i don't get tired of doing that. :) In fact, i keep telling people that i like change in every aspect of my life except relationships.

7. I love discovering new places and meeting people from different walks of life, i am a complete extrovert no wonder i love traveling. I have always secretly wanted to become a travel show host (its not a secret anymore). Imagine traveling to different parts of the world at somebody's expense! What fun!! :P

8. I am very possessive about my things, i can't share them with people. Not bcoz i am selfish, but more so bcoz i know that they can't take care of it the way i would. Yes, i am very finicky & i am a thorough perfectionist. If something's to be done in a certain way then it has to be done that way! No other way will do.

9. I have never dreamt of a prince charming, i have never tried my mom's make up as a child nor have i ever thought about how my marriage will be like. As a matter of fact i have never read a Mills & Boons novel. Yes, this despite the fact that i have been in love from times immemorial. Still, i would like to say that i am feminine and romantic in my own way!

10. I feel i am my best advisor in life, and i think nobody can understand your problems better than you yourself! I find it rather strange when i read columns where people seek answers to their dilemmas....I dunno how can a third person understand what you have been through & advise you on what to do further!? People who know me, know that i am very strong mentally & emotionally. I often advise people in times of trouble, but i only do so when i am asked to! I don't give free advice.

So i am done with the 10 random or rather not so random facts about me! :) People who want to reveal a little more about themselves are free to tag themselves.

Calm Within

Off late i have been feeling very upbeat about life and everything in general. And somehow there's no one reason that i can put my finger on. Besides, who cares....all that matters is that i am happy and optimistic about life. :) I have settled for the long video calls that i have on skype with my bf every night, i am no where admitting that i don't miss him anymore...But its more like i have accepted it as a way of life, at least as of now!

I don't feel restless like the way i used to before....although i still itch to go out on weekends. I still don't like to sit idle at home on weekends, but nowadays it doesn't matter much if i don't get to go out that often. I am fine doing my own thing, whether its pampering myself in my fav salon, curling up on my bed with my monthly dose of Cosmopolitan, or just surfing the net....doing random things here and there make me feel good.

So is it that i have turned a new leaf with the start of the year 2010? I don't know....all i know is that i am glad to be me and i am at peace with myself at the moment. Take it or leave it! :)

P.S: I am really looking forward to this weekend primarily bcoz i will be running in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon! :) And i am really thrilled about being a part of such an iconic event. Wish me luck people!

A Li'l Bit of Me!!

Today wasn't such a good day. I am not saying this coz i had a bad experience or something, its jus that the day passed by very slowly and i was feeling very dull and sluggish through!! Anyways, i am glad that i m done with the day and have some great plans for the weekend. Planning to see "Straight" starring Vinay Pathak and Gul Panag tomorrow and i also plan to catch up with my best friend after a long time. So Saturday's gonna be packed with action! :)

That's about it for now, i somehow feel there's been a strange lull in blogville off late! Most of the ppl have either taken a break or have left blogging altogether. And this include some of my very dear friends, i am sure i won't be able to name all of them but yeah i do miss Keshi a lot. A lot of ppl here know that we were jus like twins! I dunno why but there was this strange connection that i felt with her. And i feel a void a lot many times and her absence jus becomes way too obvious. I hope she gets back soon, and i also hope that all my friends who are on a break get back soon coz i really miss them!! :( :(
