What are Friends for?

1. Have you ever lost a friend after he/she got married?
Yeah, most of them get lost in their own lives after marriage.

2. Do you make friends easily? 

Yes, coz i like to meet new people from different walks of life.

3. Do you have many close friends? 

Nope, not too many.

4. Tell us about your oldest friend. 

I know her since 11 yrs, and even if we may not be in touch on a day to day basis we pick up life from where we had left it.

5. Tell us about your newest friend. 

Met him just yesterday. He's simple & down to earth.

6. Do you hang out with your friends often, or just occasionally when you can find time? 

I meet friends mostly on weekends or whenever i find the time.

7. What's the furthest you've traveled to visit (or vacation with, etc.) a friend? 

Hmm...i don't think i have ever traveled anywhere far to meet my friends.

8. What's the biggest or best thing a friend has ever done for you? 

Being there for me when i need him/her the most.

9. What's the worst or most hurtful thing that a friend (or an ex-friend) has done to you?

Back stabbed me when i least expected it.

250 ? Not Out

I am really happy to say that this is my 250th post. And what makes me happy is the fact that i could last for so long in blogville.....people came and people left but i remained! Well, i am sure it wasn't easy for the people who left this space coz some of them were really close and special to me. I still miss them, and i know that they know this too!

But here i am, and i can say for once that i am here to stay, and that's all that matters right now. I love to express myself and since i am such an extrovert there couldn't have been a better way to express myself than this blog. This blog is and will always remain close to my heart....coz i know if there's anything i need to talk about, anything that's bothering me, this is the place to be.

Ok, now i don't want this to sound like an award winning speech but i would like to make a special mention of all the wonderful people who i met through this blog and some of them went on to become good friends of mine. I owe it to all of you, i love you and thanks a ton for being there!! You mean a lot to me.

Well, it's a lazy Monday morning...and no i am not cribbing about it as yet! ;) So hoping that the day goes well i am ending this post of mine with some meaningful ads:

The 3 Stages of Life

We have three stages in life:

Teen Age: Have Time + Energy ...but No Money

Working Age: Have Money + Energy ...but No Time

Old Age: Have Time + Money ...but no Energy

Which stage are you in?? I am in the 2nd stage right now : / Slogging my a** out on a Monday. My colleague went back home stating that he's unwell. And here i was, told to manage two desks!! :( All in all an exhaustive Monday, all the more reason for me to hate Mondays!!

P.S: Feeling better, now that i am back home. :) This goes out to all of u out there who have made my life a little more worthwhile. Thanks for being my friend.

Men Have Better Friends!!

First for some interesting piece of info:
The owners of the Sears Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the United States (Chicago), inaugurated four glass box viewing platforms last week. These balconies are suspended 1,353 ft (412 meters) in the air on the 103rd floor! They are 10ft high and 10ft wide and can hold 5 tons with their 1.5 inch thick glasses. Really impressive and definitively not for the people who have Vertigo....

And now the justification for why men have better friends:


Friendship amongst Women:

A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house. The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it!!



Friendship amongst Men:

A man didn't come home one night. The next morning he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's house. The woman called her husband's 10 best friends. Eight confirmed that he had slept over, and two said he was still there!! :)


Now that's some proof that men have better friends!! What say guys? ;)

1. I am not feeling as miserable as i was feeling on 2nd March, 2009.
2. And i got The letter today!! Any guesses what's it about?

B'day Special

Yes, this is the special post that i was talking about. My blog turns 1 yr today, so i thought of remembering all those people who made it possible for me to reach this stage. :) Some who are still there in the blogville and others who left this space. I want to take this opportunity to thank all those people who made me feel special by encouraging me to write more. A special mention of Mez, sweetie i miss u a lot.....She was the first person who commented on my blog and i can never forget her, even though she's no longer there in blogville. I would also like to remember some more people who left the blogville and are missed dearly; Ashu, Samby, Solitaire (Sneha) are few such people. And now for the special people who make my journey in the blogville worthwhile, here is a small poem from me to all you guys out there:

Beyond Boundaries

This subject is extremely close to my heart. And i hav been thinking of writing on it from a very long time. But it seems like today was the day i was meant to write about it. :) Its about life and its queerness, its about breaking the perceptions that v hav in mind.....its abt looking beyond boundaries. No, i don't want to raise any eye brows coz this is not a post on nationalism or patriotism. I m talking about my transition in this journey called life. The stages of life which i hav passed thru. From a stage when i used to feel tht friends are the source of my existence to a stage when i lost faith in friendship, and today is a stage where i believe tht friends can b a great source of inspiration. And most importantly, these friends may or may not b there around you, but they do make their presence felt.

When i started writing this blog i dint know what will i write or how long will i last in this blog world. I had also thought tht i will not write abt my personal life......but as i progressed i realised tht it was not in my hands to stop myself from expressing wht i wanted to, by writing in this blog. Today i m glad tht i started blogging, not bcoz i get to write wht i want to, not bcoz i get a lot of comments....but essentially bcoz i made bonds which i'll cherish forever. Coming to the queerness of life tht i was talking abt in the third line of this post, whts strange abt life is tht when i was searching for true friendship in this real world.....i only found betrayal, hatred & deceit. And i found true friends in this virtual world, the place where one wud least expect to find true humans. Because most of the times ppl hav this perception tht there cant b real ppl in the virtual world, everybody lies and u can never knw wht the real person is like. But here is the need to change the perception, i m happy to knw tht this is not true.

In fact i m amazed at how well i cud bond with some ppl out here, there's Aneri who tried to calm me down when i was depressed due to the happenings around me. Then there's Sneha who's always been the perfect counselor to me and how can i forget to mention Keshi......whtever i say abt her wud b less. I never ever imagined tht there cud b someone who i wud bond with so beautifully. Its absolutely amazing tht v think similar and whenever i read her posts, i cant help but admire her beautiful mind. Mebbe i can attribute this similarity of thoughts to the same star sign (Cancer). :P I want to dedicate this post to you Keshi coz i hav never felt so connected to anyone till date. And i dont knw if its possible, but i wanna b ur friend of a lifetime.....i can feel the presence of the right kinda ingredients. You know the other day, after seeing 'Bachna Ae Hasino' i was telling my guy tht v must go to Sydney (coz a sizeable part of the movie has been shot there and i found it to be beautiful). And guess wht came out next.....I said tht it wud b gr8 coz i wud also get an opportunity to meet Keshi. :) Saying tht felt so good tht now i wanna go to Sydney as soon as possible!
