Foxconn has been known for its human rights abuses of its workers.. this isn't new. While China economically is becoming more and more powerful over the USA, it still has a lot to learn about work place human rights.

I'm freezing my butt off on the sidewalk out front the Apple Store in downtown Sydney waiting to get my hands on a rare iPhone... Unlocked from Apple - Available for outright purchase. 32GB = $AU1040 ($US829).
The store opens in 2 hours - Here are a few pics:

OWC and Trans International both make excellent Mac memory. Trans Intl is typically the cheaper of the two (by maybe 10% or so), but both are good bets - lifetime warranties, excellent customer support.
One thing that is unique with OWC though is that they offer rebates when you send in your factory Apple RAM. It's not very much, but it's something.

You can put it on your imac/transfer it, but you can't put it in a queue behind the WU it is doing now. When your iMac has finished its WU and send it to Stanford, stop the folding client and replace the following items in your fah folder from your powerbook:
- work folder
- unitinfo.txt
- queue.dat
- fahlog.txt
Start your client again and it should go further with the WU. You might need to restart your iMac to use the extra altivec boost.

Yes there is, and this is how.
1) Add layer in Photoshop
2) Drop a black paint bucket
3) Merge Down
4) Save as..

take a good look at a hosted Kerio Connect solution. Much more cost effective. Just Google "Hosted Kerio" and you will find cost effective, true love ;)

Hold down the Command (⌘ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_key)) key while dragging items off the Sidebar if you have Mac OS X 10.6.7.
It's gone. Thanks very much.

None of my friends want an Xbox, they all sold theirs, just don't play games anymore or never liked the xbox library. Mine will be going next to my Amiga, NES, classic GB series and Mega Drive in an air tight box for future play. I loved playing with my dads toys when I was a kid so it's probably only right that I do the same for my future kids!
Probably best keeping it till they get 100% b/c on the 360.
Bit funny really, the DC is the only last gen system I still play! And that did crap in the market!

I was looking at the M-Audio Sonica last night. It's a sound card connected by USB and it has an optical output and can feed a 5.1 Dolby Digital system. All this was $79. Is it good? I didn't hear it yet. I think I'll take the chance though. Requirements? Mac OS X 10.1.5 or higher.

I hope it does address the current problem. I've been holding off on installing CS5. Anyone try PS CS5 with this new patch?
Well, it's working fine for me, but then I had no performance issues before - either on 10.6.3 or 10.6.4. Does anyone have any specific areas/actions with PS CS5 that are causing problems, other then general freezes/beachballs?

I'm pretty sure that drives are spinned down & their heads parked when a sleep command is issued...
at least that's the case with my BW/350, so i would expect the portables to behave the same.
plus, modern 2.5" hds are amazingly robust. most can handle operational shocks of some 100 to 200 g/ms
i doubt that travelling with sleeping laptops can cause any harm to the drives.

Thanks, yes I mean encapsulation.
I'll investigate these strategies. I can take the easy way out and recreate a new animated view with every viewController but it just seems wrong.

I never bothered to update my iPhone 3G to iOS4. I thought it would slow it down. Yesterday, I picked up my iPhone 4 from the Apple Store. iOS4 is great on the iPhone 4. But my iPhone 3G still hasn't been upgraded and I don't think I'll ever update it to iOS4. I'm afraid it will slow it down.
I installed iOS4 on my 3G right away and it was great. Definitely not slower in any way, and I still got to use all of the new features besides multitasking and orientation lock. I did get an iPhone 4, but my sister is using the 3G with iOS4 every day and neither of us have noticed any problems.

I don't understand the need for the security.
Well if any application could send anything to any other applications your asking for viruses crashing and all sorts of issues. You need to have them sandboxed to some extend and have meditation for what can communicate. To get around this you use the network but the address 127.0.0.1.

(blu-ray drive vs. standrd dvd drive; built-in wireless vs. not built in wireless; free internet vs. not free internet; 60 gig HDD vs. 20 gig HDD; HDMI vs. no HDMI... any questions?)
I have a question... is that all worth the extra $200? I played Crackdown all day yesterday, and it seemed to run just as well on my 360 as it runs on the ps3...oh, wait.:D
