It's easy for you guys to say "provide proof" when you know as well as I do that much of this information, and the full story of how this all happened will never see the light of day. Thats basically the lazy mans out...I could easily have said provide proof that these techniques did not lead to the killing of O.B.L.
I never said water boarding was used, but I have heard interviews on more than one radio station that claim "Enhanced Techniques" such as subjecting the interviewee (in this case K.S.M.) to extreme cold which required him to be hospitalized, having him wear a bra, playing loud music 24/7, etc..were used and provided bits and pieces of information that led to the killing O.B.L.
Many forum members here in the past have claimed that these methods also fall under the classification of torture, so what if information obtained using these methods led to the death of O.B.L.?
As for the poster who asked what has been gained by his death, its called retribution.

Like OMG, I had the craziest thought! What if MacRumors had more articles about...Mac Rumors?! Whoa whoa wee wow, that would be so cool.
*Face Palm.
Boring stuff.
Huh? You dont find the head of software engineering to be leaving the company to be relevent? Since the current OS has roots in NeXT its safe to say that this guy played a huge role in the most important part of the Mac.
I find this a lot more or at least equaly relevent to the Mac world as the Itoys

How can you pre-order if the 2GB shuffle is not even on Apple's website?
Tell me that's a joke. I even put a clarification in the story this time. 2G = SECOND GENERATION
HAHAHA, actually very funny! :D

My wife has bought a MacBook Pro and I have put Outlook 2011 on it. Can I sync my iPad's contacts and calendar without syncing with iCal and Address Book as these will have my wife's contacts and calendar which we don't want to mix. iTunes only allows syncing with Address Book and iCal.

Running geektool. Most of the desktops you see are running it to display computer information, weather, music, etc.
I'm also using a black dock with the icons.
See this thread for Geektool (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=628023&highlight=geektool)
See this link for black dock (http://usingmac.com/2007/11/8/leopard-invisible-dock-and-black-dock)
I thought you had gotten rid of the dock but kept the apps and whatnot and just had a black strip(geektool pic probably). Didn't realize that the dock just blended in with the black strip.

I'm a 3D Artist and while waiting for a render to finish I made this for fun... If anyone wants me to make another one or one with your logo in it let me know! I have time to kill this weekend while I render.

Enjoy!
What kind of objects/scenes do you render, if i may ask? I am only a hobbyist and interested in virtual reality.

Unless, of course, we decided to declare war on Australia while I was napping.
We could just add them to the list.
Seriously, the death penalty as instituted in the US is grossly economically inefficient. With all the automatic appeals and legal fees, the death penalty is nothing more than a subsidy for the legal profession.
Life without parole is the way to go. If "Life Without Parole" actually meant "Life Without Parole". Far cheaper to just house them, plus, if we did find out we made a mistake, we could give them at least a part of their life back.

Just where everyone is thinking of heading. Also does anyone know how the Apple store is going to do things since it's inside the mall?

Yeah, the whole 2G = 2nd Generation thing is getting old. Most people with any sense can discern 2G from 2GB, but that's assuming that most people have any sense, which sadly isn't the case.
(I don't get it; when people say they have a 120 Gigabyte Hard Drive in their computer, they always say "120GB," not "120G." So why get confused at "2G iPod?" It's simply confounding!)
Even with clarification, people still foul it up. I concur with recommending to referring to it as the G2 Shuffle, or even "new iPod shuffle" as Apple refers to it on their site.
I'd recommend naming it "clippy" but well... that would just start a whole new debacle!
:o
Anyway, even though I already have a 5G iPod (err... that's 5th Generation, or G5, or iPod Video) I might pick up one of these clippy ones. I could take it places where I fear to carry my larger & more expensive iPod. It would also make a great gift!
Yeah...this shuffle will be my 7th iPod:eek:
