Perfume Overload

What I love about London is visiting the department stores that you dont get anywhere else, like Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Liberty. I went for the day to London recently and was lucky to see all the christmas windows, nothing beats the christmas window displays! They were all amazing I have to say my favourites were Liberty and Selfridges but one window caught my eye in Harrods. The Chanel perfume window display.
The window is a giant Classic Chanel No5 bottle with giant Chanel boxes. I really love this display.
mmmmmm mulberry bag!
Sorry for the reflection in the windows, you really have to see the window in person to get the full affect.
the window display run with the ad campaigns they have in magazines right now. the sequined Chanel bottle is recreated life size in the window
These windows made me think of perfume bottles and packaging. I only buy Chanel perfume as I'm a little obsessive and love the bottles ( and obviously the smell) they decorate my dressing table well. Then I was thinking of what other bottles I like because of their packaging and bottle design. Stuff like this can really smell the perfume as you see the product first and then smell it.
I love these Miss Dior Cherie ad's, I love the use of pink (i usually hate pink) with the flowers and how girly they are. It's very feminine and I love that they use Paris as a backdrop. The tv advert is really good aswel.
love love love love love this advert
This Marc Jacobs 'Lola' fragrance is really feminine with the flower design but it's toughened up with darker colours like purple, red and green. This bottle is a mini piece of art.
Naughty Alice is Vivienne Westwood's new fragrance, and what I think I love most about it is the illustration. I love her fiery red hair and the contrast against the gold and blue bottle.
What's your favourite perfume bottle? and your favourite smell?

Presents from Paris

So imagine my excitement when my parents come home from paris with these bags for me
They got me some nail polish in the colours black satin and the gorgeous new colour 'particuliere' 505 It's a sort of mushroom colour. But things get even better when they surprise me with these AMAZING earrings. I've always wanted a pair of these and I was so exited when I got them!
I'm really sorry for my rubbish quality images but I was in a rush, reason I haven't posted much in a few days is because I've been moving into my student house. I had to leave my earrings back home so I only got to spend a few hours with them. I'm all settled into the new house so blogging will continue as usual! And seeing as it's Friday here's a song for you.
This is Lostprophets song 'where we belong' this isn't my favourite Lostprophets song but this video is extra special as I'm actually in the video!! How cool is that! It's around the 2:24 mark! You'll find me wearing a lilac coat jumping around like an idiot. This was taken back in Reading Festival 2009. I was just watching the music channels this came on and I thought to myself 'I swear thats me!' and it was! I'll be showing the grandchildren this video when I'm really old ha
"Hold On Hold On
We’ll Move Along
Where We Belong

So last night Chanel re-opened their Soho store in New York and of course everyone came out in force in their best Chanel gear. Here's my favourite looks from the night Diane Kruger's dress is delicious and she has the perfect accessory, Karl Lagerfield.
Alexa Chung, the ultimate modern Chanel girl really surprised me with her outfit choice. The dress is simple yet gorgeous and I love the combination of the different prints. I thought she's go for a complete black dress with a bow and collar detail. I love her hair tied back in quite a messy way and the plain Mary Jane's. The outfit is perfect.
Claire Danes has modernised her classic monochrome tweed jacket with some blue jeans. I think they work really well together and her old hollywood hairstyle suits the glamorous jacket.
SJP looks young and fresh with this gorgeous nude and black dress. The colourings are perfect together and really suit her skin tone. Is it me or are her eyebrows a little higher than usual?
Love Love LOVE this dress on Rachel Bilson. The colours are amazing and the ankle book was a perfect choice. She looks elegant with her hair tied back into a ponytail and I love her watch!

It's Coming!

So nearly here! On September 16th the Selfridges Shoe Galleries will finally be completed. It sounds so exiting with up to 55,000 in stock and 4,00o on display! This is any shoe addict's dream! It will be the biggest shoe department in the world and will boast 6 unique galleries and 11 boutiques. The rooms I'm most exited about are the Chanel apartment which is designed to look like her Rue Cambon apartment and the Christian Louboutin apartment, which as a staircase leading to nowhere and Louboutin's family pictures.
Here you can have a look at all the brands in the shoe galleries, pictures and maps!
