Review - 10,000 B.C

Caught with this movie last weekend.Frankly speaking i din't have too many expectations from this movie,all i had in mind was that it must be about life in those times and yeah i knew that there will be plenty of special effects coz those huge mammoths cud b seen every so often in the trailers on tv.The movie talks about the journey of the central character; D'leh to get the person, Everlet who he loves so dearly.She is captured by pirates and the whole movie circles around the journey which encompasses all kinds of terrains starting from land covered in snow to desert....at the end of the movie the one thing that baffled everybody was why was the movie called 10,000 B.C coz at the end of the day its a lovestory!!But yeah the only thing tht was different was the whole setup and the costumes.So all in all i really dunno if i shud recommend this movie or not.But one thing tht i quite liked was the special effects.So if there's no other movie to watch one can see this movie but i personally wudn't like to watch it again.

Final Verdict: Ok for a one time watch.

Comeback!!

I am back!!feels good to be back to blogging after a small break.All these days i have been caught up with a lot of things.....the predominant thing being job hunting.....i jus completed a year with my current organization and now i feel the need to move on. although if somebody would have asked me this question a while back i would have probably said that i wanna stick to this job for atleast 2 yrs!!then what is it that changed everything......well too many things have changed for me to even mention here....but it feels good that finally i am over the dilemma and yes i want to change my job.....the biggest lesson that i have learnt in this one year is that never let your job get into you....its not your everything,there is a life beyond your job,you have an identity beyond your job!! and the one thing that you need to remember is that there are no friends in the corporate world....i may be sounding a bit harsh but thats the reality.....never ever mistake a colleague to be your good friend,coz you never know how your secrets are gonna be used against you!! i have now learnt to be a true professional and thats my lesson from the corporate world....i know this is just one lesson and there are many more to come.so good,bad or ugly i am ready to embrace them all.....

No Monday Morning Blues :)

I took an off today! :) I know its nothing great but then for me its a really big thing.I have been working on the last two sundays....and yet when i took an off today my dear boss asked me to come for half a day!? I mean this is ridiculous....why, am i supposed to be a bonded labourer or what?? Anyways i had a good time relaxing at home today and made the most of it. I wonder when will summer set into mumbai coz Feb's almost come to an end and its still quite cold out here. Something is definitely wrong with the weather, i mean i could never imagine in my wildest dreams that one would ever feel the need to wear woollens here!? This only makes me hope for the worst.....i somehow get this feeling that we'll have a terrible summer this time. Anyways lets hope for the best!! Although i know i can't hope for the best right now coz i know my boss is gonna thrash me tomorrow for taking a leave today. But who cares i have already taken it and it cannot be reversed...so what the heck! :D

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Hi people!Here come's the day of love or rather the day that committed people love and single people so absolutely hate....but i would really like to say one thing that why is it that the focus of Valentine's day is always on couples!?I mean come on what about the people who are single??Don't they have the right to celebrate this day of love. Come on yaar take me for an example,i do have a bf but i am as good as being single since my guy doesn't live in the city as me!!So what shud i do tomorrow??Fret about the fact that we live in different cities!?Ofcourse not!!Rather this is a day which everybody shud celebrate in the name of Love.One can be in love with the idea of being in love.I want to celebrate this day coz i want to celebrate my relationship with my bf.And for ppl who are single,i feel they shud celebrate this day to love themselves or still better is to celebrate it with friends!Everybody loves their friends for sure....So come on guys n gurls tell me your plans for the day.The spoiler her is that i am gonna be in office tomorrow :( So as of now dunno what i'll be doin in the evening.

The Ria that was.....

Talking of the sunday that went by, its wasn't that bad as i had expected it to be.In fact what i learnt was to enjoy whatever life throws on you. After all i am a firm believer of destiny and everything happens for a reason. Good, bad or ugly is all a part of the journey called life. By the way the next 3 days are going to be a breeze for me coz my boss aint goin to be around!! Lets talk about something more interesting.One of the interesting things is that i painted after a very very long time, it was at office on sunday. We had this painting competition as an employee engagement activity and it felt as if a scene of "Taare Zameen Par" had come to life. It felt as if i had gone back to those school days when we used to have art classes and all i knew to draw was a landscape with a river flowing through it :) Anyways i did a pretty good job and i am not being biased towards myself, you can see it for yourself. By the way that doesn't mean that i am not open for any comments, feel free to speak your mind but do keep in mind that i was never too good at drawing and this is an attempt to paint after a very very long time.

Weekend

Talk about having a bad weekend!or should i say that talk about not having a weekend at all,not only did i have this saturday as a working day i also have to go to office tomorrow.....yes office on a sunday....and the worst part being i can't bunk :( too bad for me.anyways i will make up for the time i have lost in the coming week.i need to promise myself that i got to come back to this blog with something better to write on rather than the silly worklife which is more or less going to be hectic at all times.but as of now i am a sad smiley waiting for a reason to smile.....sigh*
